KiOR starts biofuel production in Mississippi

KiOR (www.kior.com) has started producing liquid transportation fuels from woody biomass at its first commercial-scale plant in Columbus, MS. At full capacity, the Columbus plant will process 500 bone dry tons (bdt) of biomass per day and produce 13 million gallons per year of renewable gasoline and diesel blendstocks. KiOR is planning a second plant in Natchez, MS with a capacity to process 1,500 bdt of biomass per day.
