Vice named to lead NCASI Sustainable Manufacturing Program

Kirsten Vice has been named Vice President – Sustainable Manufacturing & Canadian Operations. Ms. Vice has served as the Vice President of Canadian Operations since joining NCASI in 2002 and assumed responsibility for Sustainable Manufacturing in January 2016.

Sustainable Manufacturing has been under the leadership of Reid Miner, who has had a long distinguished career with NCASI over the past 42 years. Mr. Miner announced his desire to begin working part-time as a step toward retirement and will continue to serve as a Senior NCASI Fellow.

NCASI is confident that Ms. Vice has the knowledge and experience to lead the Sustainable Manufacturing program. She is familiar with the environmental and sustainability issues facing the forest products industry having previously worked with the Forest Products Association of Canada and the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, in addition to environmental and process engineering consulting firms in both the US and Canada.
