Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science releases annual report

The Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science (NIACS) has released its 2017 Annual Report describing major projects within the institute’s carbon and climate change focus areas and highlighting some of NIACS’s important accomplishments and products. The report also showcases new member organizations of NIACS, partnerships, and the people that make up NIACS.

The Northern Institute of Applied Climate Science is a collaborative effort among the U.S. Forest Service, universities, conservation organizations, and forest industry to provide information on managing forests for climate change adaptation and enhanced carbon sequestration. The mission of NIACS is to provide applied ecological, economic, social, and cultural information that can be used in climate adaptation and forest carbon management, including carbon sequestration and bioenergy.
