Models - NCASI Organic Compound Elimination Pathway Model - NOCEPM 2.1
Description
The NOCEPM model predicts the fate of specific organic compounds during wastewater treatment. It is a useful tool for developing emission estimates for SARA Form R and Title V reporting requirements. The Windows version of the NOCEPM model was updated in May 1998. In February 2000, the number of compounds in the database was increased to 56 and several minor changes to the model were made. The model now provides more flexibility in the types of treatment units modeled and provides a substantially enhanced user interface.
The current version runs under the MS Windows operating system only. It has been tested on Windows 95, Windows 98, and Windows NT. The model is written in Microsoft Visual Basic (ver. 4.0) and is distributed as an executable program. The model draws upon various Windows system files which must be present for model execution.
Model distribution consists of four files; the NOCEPM model (NOCEPM2.exe); the compound database (cmpnd.ncp); and two example input files (act_2_1.nif and asb_2_1.nif). The NOCEPM model and the compound database files must be in the default directory (folder) for successful execution.
Comments and questions about NOCEPM should be directed to Vipin Varma at the NCASI Southern Regional Center, (352) 331-1745, ext. 243, vvarma@ncasi.org.
