Technical Bulletin No. 0292: Effects of Bleached Kraft Mill Effluent on Growth and Production of Fish in Experimental Stream Channels

In early 1974 the National Council, in cooperation with the Weyerhaeuser Company and the North Carolina Department of Natural and Economic Resources, Office of Air and Water Resources, initiated the second in a series of major aquatic biology field investigative efforts. The objective of these efforts is to provide a basis for estimating the concentration of kraft mill effluents that would not be expected to directly or indirectly decrease the production of fish.
