Technical Bulletin No. 0553: Evaluation of Four Recently Commercially Available Passive Diffusion Badge Monitors for Determination of Workplace Formaldehyde

Previous studies in the area of formaldehyde measurement methods dealt with laboratory and field evaluations of commercially available passive diffusion badge-type monitors and other methods. Latter promulgation of an occupational standard for formaldehyde substantially lowered the permissible exposure limits for this compound and instituted additional monitoring reguirements. This report was the sixth in a series of technical bulletins on this subject and presented the results of laboratory evaluations of four passive diffusion badge-type monitors applicable for measurement of time weighted average (TWA) concentrations in workplace atmospheres.
