Reid joined NCASI in 1974 as a Research Engineer. His positions since then have included Regional Manager, Program Director, Vice President and currently, Senior Research Fellow.

Research capabilities and/or focus areas
In recent decades, Reid has focused on a range of sustainability issues, including climate change, carbon accounting, life cycle assessment and recycling. He is currently working on a number of projects involving biogenic carbon accounting as used in life cycle assessment and in regulatory applications.
