Sam Metcalf

Communications Specialist

Background

Sam joined NCASI in 2022 as a Communications Specialist. They have a passion for conservation sciences and worked with several non-profits on marketing prior to joining NCASI. As well Sam has completed certifications for Wildland Firefighting about the history of the US Forest Service, fire conditions, and suppression. Initially, they began their studies in ecology but earned their BS in graphic design and marketing. This was due to a recognized skillset and importance in the communication of information after research was completed. Sam will work with the communications team on a variety of projects to convey scientific data and information in a way that’s understandable, clear, and accessible.
