Dr. Darren Miller and the NCASI Eastern Sustainable Forestry team of Dr. Angela Larsen-Gray, Dr. Stephen Prisley, Dr. Erik Schilling, along with former staff members Philip Weatherford and Dr. Ben Wigley, and the NCASI Foundation were honored with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Interior Regions 2 & 4, 2019-2020 Regional Director’s Conservation Award for Conservation Partner. The award was given for our efforts and dedication to shared science on sustainable land management for at-risk species.

“Conservation partner awards acknowledge your significant contribution and willingness to work with the Service toward the conservation of natural resources in the Southeast. Together, our conservation efforts multiply far beyond what any one of us can do alone.” – Leopoldo Miranda-Castro, Regional Director, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service
