We’re pleased to share that NCASI, Inc.’s field crew is featured in Oregon Public Broadcasting’s article, “Scientists find surprises under surface of burned forest streams 5 years after Oregon’s Labor Day fires.”

In collaboration with USDA Forest Service, US Environmental Protection Agency, Oregon State University, and forest sector partners, NCASI has been monitoring 30 watersheds in the 5 years since the 2020 Labor Day fires. Our Program Manager for Western Watersheds, Dr. Ashley Coble, emphasizes the importance of this work for guiding adaptive forest management in the face of increasing wildfire events.
