CC-10-015: – Proposed MACT Emission Standards for Boilers and Process Heaters Located at Major Sources

In the June 4, 2010 Federal Register, EPA proposes to set MACT emission standards for boilers located at industrial, commercial, and institutional facilities that are major sources with respect to facility-wide emissions of hazardous air pollutants. This proposal will be of interest to companies operating pulp and paper mills, panel plants, and large sawmills that are classified as major sources, i.e., the facility-wide potential to emit hazardous air pollutants is more than 10 tons/year of any one or 25 tons/year of two or more hazardous air pollutants, and that have one or more boilers or process heaters.
