CC-12-012: Proposal to Correct Inadvertent Error Requiring Inclusion of Condensible Particulate Matter in Determining Total Particulate Emissions

In the March 16, 2012 Federal Register, EPA published a proposal to correct a mistake involving condensable particulate matter in the PSD and New Source Review (NSR) rules. These rules incorrectly require that condensable particulate matter (CPM) be included in determining emission rates of total particulate matter; however, the requirement to include CPM when determining emission rates of PM10 or PM2.5 for PSD or NSR purposes remains in effect.
