CC-15-004: EPA – Air – Proposal to Revise the National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) for Ozone

In the December 17, 2014, <em>Federal Register</em>. EPA proposed revisions to the current primary and secondary NAAQS for ozone (O3) based on a review of air quality criteria for O3 and related photochemical oxidants. EPA is also proposing corresponding revisions to data handling conventions for O3, the Air Quality Index (AQI) and schedules for implementing the revised standards. As part of this proposed rule, EPA is also proposing changes to the O3 monitoring seasons, the Federal Reference Method (FRM) for monitoring O3 in ambient air, Federal Equivalent Method (FEM) procedures for testing, and the Photochemical Assessment Monitoring Stations (PAMS) network. This proposal will be of general interest to all companies and of particular interest to those companies planning projects that may require a PSD permit in the future.
