SIM-07-003: Development and Implementation of Measures to Assess and Manage the Risks Posed By Certain Substances to the Health of Canadians and Their Environment
Environment Canada (EC) and Health Canada (HC) recently announced a new Chemicals Management Plan, as a program to address 4,300 priority substances that resulted from their legislated review and categorization of the substances on the Domestic Substances List. The Plan will require the industry to submit information related to its use, manufacture, or import of these substances. The requirements are published in four Canada Gazette notices. This information is relevant to all Canadian pulp and paper and wood products manufacturing facilities.
