SIM-15-001: Launch of Chemicals Management Plan, Part 3 – CEPA Section 71 Notices for Three Substance Groupings

This is the 9th in a series of NCASI Strategic Information Memoranda (SIMs) related to Environment Canada (EC) and Health Canada (HC)’s Chemicals Management Plan. The CMP is a program that began in 2007 to address approximately ~4,000 priority substances that resulted from EC and HC’s legislated review and categorization of the substances on the Domestic Substances List (DSL). EC and HC have now launched the third component of the Chemicals Management Plan, CMP 3. Three CEPA Section 71 notices, requesting information on three grouping of substances, have been published in the July 25, 2015, Canada Gazette (Part 1). This information is relevant to all Canadian forest products facilities.
