Technical Bulletin No. 0665: Effects of Intensive Forest Management on the Mammal Communities of Selected North Carolina Pocosins

Pocosins are evergreen shrub bogs found on the southeastern Coastal Plain of the United States. Due to their impenetrable character and minimal economic value, pocosins have historically received little commercial or scientific interest. With recent improvements in technology, a large percentage of these wetlands are currently managed for timber, agriculture, and energy products.
