Background

Dr. Ahsan Habib is an Analytical Research Scientist at NCASI, where he has been supporting the Analytical Support team since joining in September 2024. He specializes in the development and validation of analytical methods for emerging environmental contaminants, with a particular focus on sustainable solutions and PFAS research. Dr. Habib’s current work encompasses a broad range of initiatives, including supporting industry efforts to address evolving PFAS technical challenges, developing analytical methods for emissions and ambient concentrations of PFAS and other pollutants, and creating educational materials and training programs to optimize methods and treatment system performance. He also leads technical activities in support of supplemental environmental testing. Before joining NCASI, Dr. Habib was a Research Associate at the University of Texas at El Paso, where he focused on analytical chemistry and environmental applications. He also has three years of experience in the Research & Development division of the pharmaceutical industry.
